Alvin Hodgson Stewart Jr.

Alvin H Stewart Jr, "Happy" was born on December 29, 1954, in Crow Agency, MT, to Alvin H Stewart Sr. and Alverine Iron Stewart. He spent his early years in Crow Agency, and in 1960, the family moved to Sandcreek homestead. Alvin went to school at Crow Public Elementary School and graduated from Hardin High School in 1972. Alvin played football for the Hardin Bulldogs for 4 years as a defensive linebacker. In 1973, Alvin attended Eastern Montana College for 2 years. Alvin also attended Bismarck Technical School in North Dakota to become an electrician, and he received his certificate.
Alvin, along with his brother Mike, broke horses. Their dad, Alvin Sr., purchased race horses, and both the brothers (Alvin and Mike) were responsible for training and riding the horses. The family participated in horse racing in the Montana circuit with the Triple CanDo. Crow Fair was his favorite time of the year at camp, where he was very happy when his friends and family came to visit. His favorite topics were Celestial Mysteries, Crow Culture, and history, and reminiscing about the 1970s.
Alvin met Roxanne Brokenrope, they married, and made their home in Crow Agency. From this union, they had three sons, Alvin H Stewart III (Suneeta), Robin Stewart, and Mitchell Stewart (Donette).
Alvin "Happy" Stewart has 6 grandchildren: Theron, Kimberly, Nico, Mckinley, Rosie, and Serafina. Alvin is survived by his siblings: Sharon Stewart-Peregoy, Courtney, and Albert G (Patti Ann), his nieces: Catherine "Buffy" Stewart (Ty Bearing), Tanya (Martin), Tamara (Timothy), Carmel (Emery), and Lindsay Stewart.
Grandchildren- Diedra (Jonah) Ten Bear, Debra, Ezekial, Demarcus (Lynette) Don't Mix, Logan, and Laveya; Kayden, Karis, Meadow, Boston, Elkin, Darius, Autumn, Shanna, Cashlynn, Lovey, Jaleel, and Kenyon Bearing.
He is further survived by Mary SharLynn (Lane) Simpson, Cheryl (Tommy) Whiteclay, Christine (Dale) Good Luck, Sharone Curley, Haroldine Moss, Clinton (Corlis) Iron, Valerie Iron, Marlene (George) and Kristine Falls Down, Helen RealBird, John Boy Caplett, Ross Caplett, Sonny LaRance, Justin (Tia) Oleyte, Donovan (Dawn) Oleyte, Lionel Old Elk, Lydell Shepherd, Leigh Ann & Jamie Janell Old Elk, Tasha (Tony) Chevalier, JoVanna, O'shon (Tiffany) Old Elk, Gwendale Good Luck, Ingrid Grant and Shann (Dakota) Hill, Chelsea (Winston) Caufield, Titus, Terin, JoLeigh, Tricia Old Elk, Archie Flatmouth & TeeLynn Moss. Alvin's extended family includes: Stewart, Yarlott, Iron, Crooked Arm families. We are blessed with a large family and many dear friends.
