Alvin Samuel Stout, age 93, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024.
Mr. Stout was born March 9, 1931 in Trenton, New Jersey, a son of the late Samuel and Margaret Sterling Stout. He was a member of Holy Lamb Lutheran Church and was a retired Pharmacist at Nye's Pharmacy in Conway. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Stout was a graduate of Rutgers University and enjoyed his flowers, gardening, traveling, the beach and working in his yard. He was an avid reader of Pharmacy journals and loved to attend continuing education classes on this trade.
He was preceded in death by his wife of over sixty years, Rosemarie (Puma) Stout. Surviving children are his daughter, Linda (Stout) Hartmann and her husband Robert of Mahwah, NJ and his son Gary Stout and his wife Lynell (Hearl) of Conway, SC. Surviving grandchildren are Robert Hartmann, Angela (Hartmann) Moore and her husband T.J.,Chrystal (Stout) Shrewsbury and Victoria Stout. Surviving great grandchildren are Savanna Moore, Blake Moore, Julia Shrewsbury, Grayson Shrewsbury and Isaac Shrewsbury.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Holy Lamb Lutheran Church with Pastor Stephen Vogt officiating. Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Mausoleum directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.
Memorials may be sent to Holy Lamb Lutheran Church, 2541 Forestbrook Road, Myrtle Beach, SC 29588.
