Alyssa Margaret Ehlke, age 34, of Green Bay, WI, passed from death into eternal life on January 15, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of Gregory C. Ehlke and Mary (Tust) Ehlke of Egg Harbor, WI, and the younger sister of Erin M. Ehlke of New York City, NY. Alyssa was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Dr. Ralmond H. and Mary Margaret Tust of Indianapolis, IN, and her paternal grandparents, Charles and Marguerite Ehlke of Appleton, WI.
Alyssa was born in North Tarrytown, NY on June 2, 1990 and attended primary and secondary school in Ossining, NY. Alyssa was an avid sports lover, playing field hockey (including training in the USA Field Hockey Futures program) from middle school onward before competing at the varsity level in high school. She also played varsity lacrosse at Ossining High School. Her love of sports enabled her to travel to Australia and New Zealand to play soccer and the Netherlands to play field hockey.
Alyssa's college studies took her to Penn State University and the University of Wisconsin - Madison before graduating from Pace University in Westchester County, NY in June 2013 with a Bachelor of Science with concentrations in Mathematics and Psychology. She moved to Green Bay, WI in 2015 and began working in the medical field at various assisted living and long-term care facilities. Her move to the Midwest followed many vacations in Door County, the Northwoods and Illinois with her family and visits with many relatives.
Alyssa found great happiness working as a Certified Nursing Assistant assisting residents in several Green Bay assisted living facilities including Crossroads and, most recently, Edenbrook Green Bay for the past two years. She loved making residents smile with her cheery personality, often dressing up in costumes around various holidays. She evolved into a Medical Technician role at Edenbrook Green Bay and loved the staff and her coworkers. She was baptized at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in Yorktown Heights, NY where she was a member until moving to Wisconsin. Alyssa was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Green Bay and appreciated the sermons and kindness of Pastor Rachel Knoke.
In addition to being survived by her parents and sister, Alyssa is further survived by many extended family members. A memorial service in Door County will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Juddville on Saturday, February 8, 2025 with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. and the service to follow at 11:00 A.M., with Rev. Rachel Knoke and Rev. Frank Kauzlarich co-officiating. A light luncheon will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Brown County. Huehns Funeral Home, Inc. & Door County Crematory LLC are assisting the Ehlke family.

I had the extreme pleasure of working with Alyssa she had a personality that could light up a room. She had the biggest heart, she was beautiful and caring, thoughtful. Which was a perfect fit for her career path she was on residents loved her. She made coming to work fun. I lost touch with Alyssa once I moved jobs and that is something regrettable on my end, because we never know when we will lose someone so young I will miss our lunch dates and rafting experiences. The world truly lost an angel when we lost you. I hope wherever you are in the afterlife you are at peace and feel the love everyone has for you here on earth.
