Amanda Rose Christian Gremillion, 35, of Lake Charles passed away Sunday, August 4th in her home.
Amanda was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. A talented athlete, she found her passion early in life playing softball. She and adoring parents, along with her brother and countless softball family friends traveled many years throughout the states cheering on their “girl” and her team. As an aunt to her favorite three boys in the world, she enjoyed the times she shared with them and especially loved following their baseball games. She was all about family and spending time with them and as a baseball family, they always gathered to watch or traveled to see them play. Amanda was a graduate of Barbe High School and a member of the Barbe Softball Team. Upon graduation she worked many years for Mary’s Professional Answering Service. Her soft spot was always dogs. Her fur babies were well pampered and greatly loved. She will be remembered for her sweet smile and her free spirit.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of eleven years, William David Gremillion of Lake Charles; father, Byron Christian of Lake Charles; brother, Chad lee Christian of Houston, TX; two brothers-in-law, Ryan Gremillion (Megan) of Westlake and Justin Gremillion of Bossier City; three nephews, Kaleb, Ethan and Landon Gremillion; three uncles, David Stokeld (Margaret), Wendell Christian (Lydia) and Eric Christian (Wendy) and fur babies, Tank and Luna.
She was just recently preceded in death by her precious mother and dear friend, Linda Stokeld Christian. She was also preceded by her maternal grandparents, Leroy “Sonny” Stokeld and Rosa Mae Pesson Stokeld; aunt, Carmalita Istre and uncle, Wayne “Danny” Stokeld.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, August 9th, 2024 at Prien Memorial Park. Father Keith Pellerin will officiate.
Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews.
