Amanda Jean Lovin - dedicated wife, mother, teacher, and friend of many - passed away on November 7, 2022 at the age of 48 in Morristown, Tennessee.
Amanda was born on May 9, 1974 to Paul and Eulagray Cupp from Tazewell, Tennessee. After Amanda graduated from Claiborne County High School in 1992, she went on to study education at Lincoln Memorial University. After earning her Bachelor's Degree in 1996 as an LMU alumni, she would later attain her Masters Degree through Bethel University in 2014.
Amanda, inspired at an early age to be a teacher, always had a love and passion for education and cared deeply for children. She began her teaching career in 1996 at TNT primary school where she would remain 24 years before covid-induced health issuses forced her to retire early in 2021. Her passion for teaching began the education of hundreds of children in the community who still look to her as an inspiration.
In 2005 Amanda, and husband of 28 years, Ronnie welcomed their only son, Asher, who is now 17 and a senior at Claiborne High.
Amanda was predeceased by her four grandparents, Rufus and Virginia Cupp, and Charles and Mossie Wolfenbarger, all from Claiborne County.  She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Lovin and son Asher Lovin, along with her parents Paul and Eulagray Cupp, sisters Almedia Cupp-Riley, Rita(Bobby) Mcintosh, and brother Anthony(Cuppie) Cupp, along with special nieces Harley, Carley, and Abigail, and special nephews Mason, Vincent, and Everhett.
A memorial/celebration of life will be held at Claiborne-Overholt Funeral home on Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 7-9pm.
Miss Amanda was in many ways like an 80s rock song.  Her hair was almost as large as her love for her family. Loud and intimidating, yet cared deeply for those close to her. She was NEVER afraid to speak her mind, and could immediatley take control of a conversation or a classroom with her unmistakeable voice. The only thing that matched this was her fierce ability to love and care for her friends and loved ones.
She was our lighthouse in the storm, our light in the dark, and will never be forgotten.
Fly with the angels Mandy.
