Amara Nahir Bennett

Amará Nahir Bennett, age 2, of Anderson, South Carolina, passed away on June 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on August 27, 2022, to Mykael Goodjion and Joshua Bennett, Amará was a bright light in every room she entered. Though her time with us was brief, her impact was immeasurable. She was known for her radiant smile, infectious laughter, and pure heart. She brought endless joy to those who loved her and left behind beautiful memories filled with laughter and love.
Amará adored watching Sesame Street and Bluey, and her favorite moments were spent giggling at their adventures. Her sweet spirit, strong personality, and joyful presence will never be forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her big brother, Armani Bennett, and her grandfather, Franklin Bennett Jr.
She is survived by her parents, Mykael Goodjion and Joshua Bennett; Sister, Alavi Bennett; Twin Brother, Amadi Bennett; Grandparents, Charette & Fabian Hunter, Sandra Fernandez & Woodrow Scott, Michael Goodjion & Renaye Mills; & a loving circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
The family of Amará Nahir Bennett would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Prisma Health Children's Hospital and the dedicated Prisma Health providers who cared for her both inside and outside the hospital.
A special thank you to her Early Interventionists, Jennifer Standridge and Parker Stratton, Physical Therapist Carrie Stiles, Occupational Therapist Lauren Ferguson, and Speech Therapist Tegan Dutschke for their loving support and care.
Your kindness and compassion will always be remembered.
Her memory will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Service: Monday, June 30, 2025, Abel Baptist Church, Clemson, SC. Interment will follow in the church's cemetery.
Public Viewing: Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the mortuary.
