Amber Crosby Obituary

Amber Renee (Glenn) Crosby, beloved wife of Jasper Crosby, Jr., departed this life quietly on Monday, October 20, 2025. Born in Pottstown on December 28, 1970, to Gregory Isaiah Glenn, Sr. and Margaret Anne Glenn, Amber was a beacon of love and warmth to all who knew her. She loved and was loved.

A proud graduate of Pottstown Senior High School, Class of 1988, Amber excelled in field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse, showcasing her vibrant spirit and determination. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Temple University. Amber's life was a testament to her calling to help others, as evidenced by her dedicated career as a social worker for Montgomery County Children Youth and Berks County Children Youth. At the time of her passing, she was a compassionate advocate for the elderly at Montgomery County Aging & Adult, tirelessly assisting the most vulnerable with empathy and care.

Amber was a caring and loving soul, whose friendly nature and infectious laughter brightened the lives of everyone she encountered. She had a remarkable ability to make people feel valued and heard, always ready with a kind word or a helping hand. Her storytelling was legendary, as she delighted in sharing vivid tales of her childhood days gone by, weaving memories of Happy Hill playground and family gatherings that brought joy and laughter to family and friends alike.

Her interests were as diverse as her talents. Amber found joy in reading, crocheting, and playing bingo; she was a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. Her most cherished role was that of a mother, and she adored her son Jasper with a love that knew no bounds. Amber poured her heart into nurturing him, ensuring he felt cherished every single day.
Together, Amber and Jasper shared a special bond over jigsaw puzzles, spending countless hours piecing them together. They would frame their completed masterpieces and proudly display them around the house, each puzzle a testament to their teamwork and shared joy.

Amber accepted Christ as her Savior at a young age, having been baptized by the late Rev. David Minus, Jr. at Second Baptist Church. As a teen she sang on the choir, participated in church plays, and Youth for Christ. She knew the power of prayer and instilled its importance to young Jasper by incorporating it into their daily routine.

Amber was an extraordinary wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. Her love for laughter and good food, especially when prepared by her parents and others, was well-known and cherished by those around her. She often joked about being a great cook who could make anything, but in reality, her specialty was breakfast food and brownies.

In addition to her devoted husband and loving parents, Amber leaves behind her beloved son, Jasper Isaiah; her brother, Gregory Isaiah Glenn, Jr.; two nieces, Alexis Lanii, wife of Erik Scott Bortz and Asia Janay Glenn; great-niece, Silver Rae Bortz; aunts, uncles, and a host of cousins and dear friends. Amber's legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will forever be a guiding light, reminding us of the power of love and the importance of living a life filled with purpose and joy.
