Dr. and Mrs. Ellis,

I am so sorry it has taken me this long to hear of Amber's untimely passing. There simply are no words to express to you how sorry I am for her loss. She and I were friends at Webb School in Bell Buckle, TN. She was such a beautiful person, inside and out and her friendship was such a light in my life. The love that she had for her family was evident in all she did. I have many memories of her talking about all of you at school, and I so enjoyed meeting all of you at your home all those years ago.

Again, my words fail me at a time such as this. As a mother myself now, I cannot imagine losing a child. I only hope that it will bring you some joy to know how much she meant to all who knew her.

Again, please accept my deepest sympathies and please forgive that it took me so long to learn of your loss.

DEAR.DR ELLIS & FAMILY,

I WOULD LIKE TO EXPRESS MY DEEPEST SORROW IN THE LOSS OF AMBER. SHE'S SUCH A BEAUTIFUL YOUNG WOMAN, AND NOW ANGEL. ALIVE, WELL, AND NO PAIN OF THIS WORLD!! THERE'S SO MUCH I WANT TO TO SAY BUT CAN'T. I WILL PRAY THIS THROUGH TO YOU."WE", "HAVE A PEACE THAT PASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING". I BELIEVE THAT MEANS WE HAVE A HOPE THAT THE WORLD DOES NOT UNDERSTAND, SO THEREFORE YOU MUST KNOW SHE'S STILL VERY MUCH ALIVE, AND YOU WILL BE REUNITED IN PARADISE. THIS IS A PROMISE. THIS IS THAT PEACE. HOLD ON TIGHTLY TO IT, FOR IT "WILL" TAKE YOU "THROUGH" THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH . AS MY SORROW IS WITH YOU, SO IS MY PROMISE OF HOPE AND PEACE. "WE" AS FAMILY UNDERTSAND THIS MEANING IN WHICH I'VE WRITTEN. I LOVE YOU DEARLY, AND MY THOUGHTS, CONCERNS AND MANY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU.

Dear Linda, Gerry, and Greg,

"Losing someone we love is never easy to accept, and sometimes it must seem as if the pain is almost too much to bear. But I believe that your love will outlast the pain of the grief you're feeling. I believe that you have a place deep in your heart where treasured memories will always live. And one day those memories will be a tremendous comfort to you. Until the day when you can smile again, I hope it helps to know how sorry I am and how much I care." I am so very sorry about Amber. You have my sincerest sympathy. Phyllis Salyer

Words can't really say what we want them to at these times. Amber was my ADPi sister, but the way she'll always stick in my memory is from "safety patrol" at Gordon-Bibb in 1987. Blessings to you all . . . I'm so sorry for your loss.

Dr. & Mrs. Ellis and Greg,

Words of comfort are so hard to find at a time like this. Amber was such a beautiful person inside and out. When I think of Amber a smile automatically appears on my face. She always knew how to make you laugh. I will always remember the fun times we had from Bama Kid to Homecoming and all the way through highschool. I can't imagine how hard this is for all of you. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Several years ago I was going through a difficult time. And you Dr. Ellis, took time out of your busy day to pull me aside (actually talking my boss into letting me out of work) to raise my spirits, it meant the world to me. I only wish I could do the same for you.

I will really miss Amber.

Dear Linda and Gerry,

As I ponder over what to say to you in this time of sorrow, words are hard to write. First of all, my thoughts and prayers are with you all. As I think back, one thing that comes to my mind is when Amber and Natalie took ballet. We both spent alot of money on costumes and lessons, and at the time of their recital, what did Amber and Natalie do? They crawled across the stage on all fours as mice. But they were cute mice and we were non the less proud of them. Memories such as this will always bring a smile to our face when we remeber our children. Please know that I am thinking about you and as I stated before, my prayers are beside you always.

December 13, 2004

When I have come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me. I want no rites to a gloom filled room, why cry for a soul set free. Miss me a little...but not too long and not with you heads bowed low. Remembered the loved we once shared, miss me but let me go. For this is a jurney we all must take and each must go alone. It's all a part of the Master's plan. A step on the road to home. So when you are feeling sick at heart, go to the friends we know. And burry you sorrows in doing good deeds.. Miss me but let me go.

I am deeply saddened by Amber's loss, a kind and beautiful person. May her memory live on forever and may God be with you in your time of sorrow and always.
