Amber Renee Valk

Amber Renee Valk, age 27, of Hot Springs, died, Friday, April 13, 2007.

She was born on May 31, 1979 at Atlanta, Georgia the daughter of Jimmy Wayne Griffith and Hazel Phelps Griffith. She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents, Eudy F. and Melissa Phelps.

She is survived by her husband, James Earl Valk of Hot Springs; her son, James Earl Valk, Jr. of Hot Springs; four daughters, Marjorie Savanna Marie Valk, Haley Valk, Darrien Taylor Griffith, all of Hot Springs and Melissa Nicole Hall of Malvern; her mother, Hazel Martin and husband Marty of Hot Springs; two brothers, Frank Griffith and wife Amie and James Brown all of Hot Springs; her mother-in-law, Camille Tackett and husband David of Hot Springs; her father-in-law, Gordon Valk of Madil, Oklahoma; her grandmother, Patricia Tackett of Hot Springs; her brother-in-law, Garrett Valk of Hot Springs; aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 18, 2007 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with Bro. Darryl Sulton and Bro. Allen Clark officiating.

Interment will be in the Cunningham Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Pallbearers will be Mitch Maughan, Jason Courtney, Frank Griffith, James Brown, John Carleson and Charles McMillan.

Honorary pallbearers will be Marji and Chelcie Maughan, Steve and Cody Barker, Jason and Heather Courtney, Bruce Simpson, Bobby Miller, Kyle Everett, Nick Miller and Derek Matula.
