Amber Shambrea Life Reflections
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have longed for his appearing." II Timothy 4:7-8
A Time to Be Born
Amber Shambrea Yeadon, the oldest child born to MaryAnn Nesbitt Yeadon and the late Kenneth Yeadon, Sr. was born on September 7, 1989, in Charleston, South Carolina.
A Time to Die
God chooses his best. Without a goodbye, on Saturday afternoon, December 16, 2023, at the home of her mother, Amber just slept into eternity.
A Time to Love
Although Amber had no children of her own, she was blessed to love on her three beautiful God children: Khylee, Cayden, and August and the three apples of her eyes, Zahmir, Neilson, and Kenneth III. However, Amba, as she was called by many of her friends was loved by many.
A Time for Every Purpose Under the Sun
Amber was reared in Cross, South Carolina. She attended the schools in Cross and was a proud graduate of the Class of 2007 of Cross High School. She was smart and was active in many organizations, but she especially loved the Cross Marching Blue Thunder Band and the Cross Varsity Cheerleaders Team. Amber went on to further her education at South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, South Carolina and later graduated with a degree in Speech Pathology.
Amber grew up in St. Matthew A.M.E Church and was an active church school attendee where she served as Secretary. She was a member of the St. Matthew's Combined Choir where she sang beautifully with her angelic voice. Two of Amber's favorite songs were: "I'll Go if I Have to Go by Myself" and "Jesus Will Turn it Around." She also served as President of the YPD (Young People's Division).
In 2020, Amber relocated to Rock Hill, SC and remained until her passing. She was most recently employed as a logistic analyst. Amber was a very kind, gentle, quiet, and a compassionate person. Because of her gentle spirit, people were always drawn to her. To know Amber was to love her. Her beautiful smile could light up a room. Amber loved her family and friends. Right now, we cannot imagine our lives without her, but God in his infinite wisdom makes no mistakes.
A Time to Mourn
Amber is preceded in death by her father, the Late Kenneth Yeadon Sr., grandfather, Rev. Paul Nesbitt, grandmother, Geneva Hamilton Nesbitt, grandmother, Viola Yeadon McClaney, and uncle, Roosevelt Nesbitt.
Precious memories of our beloved Amber will always remain in the hearts of her loving and caring mother, MaryAnn N. Yeadon; her second mother, Pauline N. Hill; her loving siblings, Kenneth "KJ" (Coretta) Yeadon, Jr., of Perry, Georgia; Kayla Yeadon (Deaundre Rose) of Rock Hill, SC, and Kenreka "Tiwan" Yeadon of Ridgeville, SC; the apples of their TiTi's eyes: Zahmir Yeadon-Rose, Neilson Yeadon, and Kenneth Yeadon III; three God children: Khylee Mack, Cayden Williams, and August Carter; a special cousin/aunt Karen N. Mercer of New York, New York; a special cousin/uncle, Ritchie Nesbitt of Bronx, New York; a special aunt Jeannette Y. Gray of Columbia, SC; six aunts: Azilee Yeadon of Eutawville, SC, Linda McClaney of New York, Sherrie M. Alston of New York, Martha Ann Yeadon of Charleston, SC, Mary Ella Yeadon of Pittsburg, PA, and Bertha Beauford of Alvin, SC; two uncles, James McClaney and Mark McClaney; her adopted little sister, Kabreea Howell of Cross, SC; her childhood friend/brother Reverend Clarence A. Mitchell, Jr of Conyers, GA; her best friend, Jessica Mack-Davis; three special friends: Danielle Pinckney-Carter, Pamela Smith, and Regina Rogers; a special family friend, Barbara Williamson; a host of cousins, relatives, classmates, and the St. Matthew A.M.E Church Family. Our Amby. Gone but will remain in our hearts forever.
