ABBONIZIO
Amelia ("Amy") Abbonizio, of Glenolden, Pa., died on April 24, 2025. She was 96 years old and passed away peacefully at home with her devoted sister Florence by her side.
Formerly of Pearl Street, Philadelphia, she was predeceased by her sisters Josephine DiBernardo, Genevieve DiSciullo, and Jean Randazzo, and her brother Louis Abbonizio.
Amy is survived by her sisters Nina Cavaliere and Florence Abbonizio, and by many loving nieces and nephews.
Amy will forever be remembered for her steadfast love of family, selfless care of and service to others, and unwavering faith, as well as for her authentic Italian cooking, which those who enjoyed it always knew was a labor of love.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Thursday May 1st; 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. followed by her Funeral Mass 11:00 a.m. ALL IN CHURCH at St. George's Church 22 E. Cooke Ave., Glenolden, PA 19036. Interment Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the League of the Miraculous Infant of Prague, P.O. Box 1045, Westmont, IL 60559-8245; InfantPrague.org.
