Amelia Sue Culver, born on December 29, 1947, in Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on August 2, 2025. She lived a remarkable life that was marked by dedication, love, and a profound connection to her family and friends.

Amelia began her professional journey with Trans World Airlines (TWA), where she devoted over 30 years of her life to the world of aviation. Having never missed a day of work in over 15 years, her career was characterized by her exceptional work ethic, especially in handling finances in the freight division. Following her time at TWA, she transitioned to American Airlines, where she continued to showcase her dedication and hard work.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Amelia was defined by her deep devotion to family. She shared more than 30 beautiful years of marriage with her loving husband, Michael. Their relationship was one of a kind, filled with love and companionship that many aspire to emulate. Together they created a nurturing home filled with joy, laughter, and warmth. Amelia was not only a wonderful wife but also a dedicated mother and grandmother who cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.

In addition to her family devotion, Amelia had an outgoing personality and a remarkable ability to connect with others. She had a wealth of friendships; being known for her kindness and the love she sowed among those she encountered. Amelia was active and enjoyed the company of her friends, often participating in gatherings such as her "Golden Girls Club," where she relished the joy of camaraderie and support. Her interests extended to fine dining and wine, reflecting her enjoyment of life’s pleasures. An avid walker, she took great care in maintaining her health and well-being, embodying a lifestyle of physical activity.

Amelia’s legacy will resonate through the lives she touched and the memories she created. She is survived by her beloved husband, Michael, who will forever hold her memory close to his heart. As her family and friends gather to honor her life, they will carry forward the warmth and love that Amelia brought into their lives.

A memorial service will take place on August 9, 2025, at Terrace Park Funeral Home & Cemetery in Kansas City, MO, the upcoming services will be private for the family.

Amelia Sue Culver leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and an indelible spirit that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Amelia is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Thettes Homar.

She is survived by her husband Michael Culver; her son Keith Bertram; grandson, Shawn Bertram; granddaughter, Tabitha Bertram; her sister, Jackie Faust (Steve); brother’s, Edward “Bud” Homar, Gary Homar (Janice); as well as many nieces and nephews.
