Amelia Segura, 74, of Lake Arthur, New Mexico, joined her husband in heaven on September 5th, 2025. Amelia was born in Lake Arthur on September 15th, 1950 to Piedad and Guadalupe Chavarria. She had one sister, Lupe (Freddie Rivera) and five brothers, Nieves (Josie), Juan (Josephina), David (Marina), Martin, & Jose (Manuela) Chavarria.
Amelia married Jesse Segura, and together they had four children: Jessica, Justina, Jesse (Sarah) & Corina (Eric Mesquita). Amelia was grandmother to three children: JesseGene, Sumelia, & Maverick Segura. Amelia was preceded in death by her parents Piedad & Guadalupe, her husband Jesse, and her brother Jose.
The love and kindness Amelia radiated out into the world on a daily basis will be missed.
Memorial services will be held at Lake Arthur Catholic Church on September 13th.
Viewing: 9:00-10:45 am
Rosary: 10:45-11:45 am
Service: 12pm
Burial @ Lake Arthur Cemetary
Luncheon: 2 pm @ LA Community Center
