In Loving Memory of Amparo Valencia Corrales
January 24, 1963 March 31, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Amparo Valencia Corrales, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished daughter, dear sister, and friend. She departed peacefully on March 31, 2025, in Tampa, FL, leaving behind a legacy of faith, and unwavering love.
Born on January 24, 1963, in Manizales, Colombia, Amparo was the beloved daughter of Hernan Corrales and Alicia Villegas. She was raised in a close-knit family, surrounded by the love of her siblings: Luz Stella, Beatriz, Jorge Hernan, Martha, Gustavo, Esperanza, Javier, Antonio, and Angela.
A devoted student, she pursued higher education at Slippery Rock University, earning a Masters in Counseling. With a compassionate heart, she dedicated her career to helping others as a Social Work Counselor.
A woman of deep faith, Amparo found strength in her Catholic beliefs and solace in meditation. Her spiritual devotion was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her through challenges and inspiring those around her.
She is survived by her husband of many years, Jesus Valencia, their adored daughter, Camila Valencia, her mother, Alicia Villegas, and her siblings.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hernan Corrales, on September 18, 2005.
A memorial service to celebrate Amparos life will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025 at 3:00 PM 5:00 PM in Lakeland, FL.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a life lived with grace, generosity, and boundless love. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
"Her kindness was a light, her strength a guide, and her love an enduring gift."
A Memorial service will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Lakeland Funeral Home. Visitation from 3 PM - 4 PM, service at 4 PM.

Es con profunda tristeza que anunciamos el fallecimiento de Amparo Valencia Corrales, una esposa devota, madre amorosa, hija querida, querida hermana y amiga. Se fue pacficamente el 31 de marzo de 2025, en Tampa, FL, dejando atrs un legado de fe y amor inquebrantable.
Nacida el 24 de enero de 1963 en Manizales, Colombia, Amparo era la querida hija de Hernn Corrales y Alicia Villegas. Fue criada en una familia muy unida, rodeada por el amor de sus hermanos: Luz Stella, Beatriz, Jorge Hernn, Martha, Gustavo, Esperanza, Javier, Antonio y Angela.
Estudiante devota, sigui la educacin superior en la Universidad Slippery Rock, obteniendo una maestra en Consejera. Con un corazn compasivo, dedic su carrera a ayudar a los dems como consejera de trabajo social.
Una mujer de profunda fe, Amparo encontr fuerza en sus creencias catlicas y consuelo en la meditacin. Su devocin espiritual fue una piedra angular de su vida, guindola a travs de desafos e inspirando a quienes la rodeaban.
Le sobreviven su marido de muchos aos, Jess Valencia, su adorada hija, Camila Valencia, su madre, Alicia Villegas, y sus hermanos. Fue precedida en la muerte por su padre, Hernn Corrales, el 18 de septiembre de 2005.
Un servicio conmemorativo para celebrar la vida de Amparo se llevar a cabo el viernes 4 de abril de 2025 de 3:00 p. m. a 5:00 p. m. en Lakeland, FL.
Familiares y amigos estn invitados a reunirse en recuerdo de una vida vivida con gracia, generosidad y amor sin lmites. Aunque se la echar mucho de menos, su espritu permanecer para siempre en los corazones de aquellos que la conocieron.
