Maria Delfida Corrales, 107, of Bloomfield NM, passed away on April 23, 2025. Maria was born on November 21,1917 in Gallina NM, to her parents Delfido and Rumalda Martinez.
Delfida loved God above all. She was a very devout catholic. She was loved by so many. She was the Matriarch of our family, she had seven children and 114 grand and great grandchildren, she cherished every single one of them Delfida loved traveling she traveled to the Holy land on a pilgrimage. She volunteered at an orphanage in Mexico several times. She traveled all over the United States, service to others was very important to her. She was a beautiful Example for all of us.
Delfida is preceded in death by her husband Epifano Corrales, her children Jessie and son in law Louie Salazar, Beverly Miller, Jodene Chavez, Delaney Dean, Andrew Clark, Charlie Corrales and a daughter in law Carla Corrales, Her parents Delfido and Rumalda Martinez, one brother and nine sisters.
Delfida is Survived by her sons Manuel Corrales (Rosabel) Tom Corrales, Ruben Corrales and Joe Corrales, her daughters Lourdes Salazar (Bailon, and Diana Smith (Bobby) and numerous grandchildren.
A Holy Rosary will be held on April 30, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bloomfield, NM. A reception will follow the services.Burial will take place the following day, May 1, 2025, at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
Serving as pallbearers are Mathew Salazar, Antonio Corrales, Ronnie McGlasson, Benny Corrales, Jacob Teupell, and Chris Corrales.
Honorary pallbearers are all of her loving grandchildren.
