Amy was born April 24, 1980, in Amarillo, Texas to Gary and Dejauna (Brown) Rambo, and passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024, at her home in Enid.
She graduated from Panhandle High School in 1998, where she excelled in basketball and cross country, winning numerous awards. She then attended West Texas A & M earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in 2003. She married Brett Barnes on October 23, 2004 in Canyon, Texas. They moved to Oklahoma where she had two children, Brylee and Brayson, and was a stay-at-home mom for eight years while selling Premier Jewelry, and led Stroller Fit. She was a secretary at Eisenhower Elementary for two years, and secretary at Chisholm Elementary for one and a half years. She began her teaching career at Chisholm Middle School where she taught science, and was also a coach for the volleyball, track, and basketball teams. While teaching was a great joy, her greatest joy was spending time with her family and children, always attending their games and activities. She was a member of Open Door Church, volunteering in the nursery and preschool, where she loved to rock the babies.
