Saint Albans ~ Amy Lynn Boomhower, a lifelong resident of this area passed away Monday, March 10, 2025, at the UVM Medical Center with her family at her side.
Born in St. Albans on December 11, 1968, she was the daughter of Leona (Carr) Donaldson and Wayne Boomhower, who predeceased her.
Amy was a woman of many passions, from fishing to puzzles she's done it all. If you have seen her walking down the street, she was always full of smiles. She was the type of person who would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it.
Her infectious smile was enough to light up the darkest days. You would often find her at your local fishing holes, rod and beer in hand on those nice hot summer days, don't let that fool you though she wasn't afraid of the ice and snow. Her man and her kids were the perfect day for her. In her younger years she wanted to be a chef and even attended class to achieve that goal. She never fully met that goal; however, she did meet the most important of all that goal, becoming the best mother that she
could be. To many she was known as just that but to a special person in her life she was known as a crocodile
She will be missed by all. In a while crocodile, love always your alligator. Love You.
Survivors include her 2 sons, David and Allan Boomhower of St. Albans: her sisters, Tammy Wells of St. Albans and Terry Hatterick and her husband, Danny of Swanton as wells as her grandchild, Kai and Colby Boomhower and nieces, Amy Barratt and her husband, Richard of St. Albans and Aliza Rivera of Swanton and several nieces and cousins.
There are no services planned at this time.
Assisting the Boomhower family is Rett Heald of the Heald Funeral Home, where messages of condolence are welcome at www.healdfuneralhome.com.
