Amy M Breen (1958 – 2025)
Amy (Miller) Breen, of North Brunswick, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025
Known as Mom or Amy to family and friends, Honey to her husband, or Nana to her favorite people, Amy was a lifelong New Jersey resident, born October 17, 1958 at Margaret Hague Hospital in Jersey City to Clifford John Miller and Mary Clare (Ward) Miller. Amy grew up in Bayonne, and later the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick Township. Amy also lived in Sunnyside, and the Somerset section of Franklin Township, before moving to North Brunswick in 1993.
Amy was a graduate of South Brunswick High School, and from there went on to a career in the travel industry, initially working as a personal travel consultant at various locations including Revere Travel and AAA, where she became an office manager. Amy switched to Corporate travel and took a position at BPF Travel, managing business travel arrangements for corporate clients. Amy became an office manager at BPF, and also worked at American Express Travel. Amy retired from the travel industry in 1993 to be a full time mom.
Amy loved to travel herself, and had a real spirit for adventure. She enjoyed exploring new places and discovering new things. Amy also loved history but most of all she loved nature and the great outdoors. She liked to combine all these things, often going on weekend getaways just driving around the countryside immersed in nature, stopping at historical sites, finding wooden covered bridges or old stone houses along the way, not knowing what she would find but enjoying the beauty of it as it unfolded. Amy was a big fan of Irish history, both her maternal grandparents immigrated from Ireland and she was very proud of her Irish heritage.
Amy is preceded in death by sisters Mary Beth (Miller) Bussey and Patricia Anne (Miller) Davis. Amy is survived by her husband James W "Jim" Breen, daughter Kathryn M "Katie" (Jose) Aponte, sons James W "Jimmy" Breen II and Patrick Joseph "Pat" Breen, 5 nieces, 3 nephews, and 4 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 29th, 2025, at 12:00 pm, at the Presbyterian Church of Jamesburg, 175 Gatzmer Avenue, Jamesburg, NJ 08831. The service will be followed by a repast at 1:30 pm, at Forsgate Country Club, 375 Forsgate Dr, Monroe Township, NJ 08831
In keeping with Amy's love of flowers and gardening, any live plants or flowers for the memorial service or repast will be replanted in a memorial garden in Amy's honor. Amy also loved to plant trees in honor of others, and any trees planted in her name are greatly appreciated.

My deepest condolences to the family during this very difficult time.
I remember Amy we graduated from High School and she lived around the corner from me during " the good, safe old days" in K.P. I remember your sence of humor, your curly short hair, you were a natural nature girl and until we meet again may God hold you tight in heaven...God Bless. Judy H.
