Amy Eisterhold Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Darst Funeral Home on Apr. 3, 2024.
August 29, 1957 – April 1, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Amy Eisterhold, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who departed from this world on 1 April 2024.
Born on August 29, 1957, Amy was the daughter of JW and Wilda June Glover, who preceded her in death. Their love and guidance shaped Amy into the remarkable woman she became.
Amy's love for quilting, camping, and cherished moments with her family and grandchildren were all woven together by the threads of her faith. Whether she was working on a quilt, camping, or simply spending time with her loved ones, Amy's faith infused every moment with a sense of purpose and gratitude.
Devoted wife of Jim since 1980, Amy's marriage was a testament to the enduring power of love, laughter, and shared values. Their bond was a source of strength and joy, sustaining them through life's highs and lows. She was also a friend to many from her activities at church, her children's schools, and her neighborhood.
Amy's travels took her to all seven continents, but she loved Texas most. She looked forward to camping trips at Garner State Park as a child, later with her husband and children, her Ya-Ya friends, and with grandchildren. There she hiked, enjoyed the cool waters of the Frio River, and danced (despite Jim's two left feet) to George Strait and country classics at the Pavilion at night. Her greatest joy was found with her family and friends at home. Her down-to-earth approach to life endeared her to all who knew her, and her presence will be deeply missed.
Amy is survived by her loving husband Jim, children Leigh Ann Frew (husband Andy), Ben Eisterhold (wife Katie), and Laura Peart (husband Jason), along with their children Elizabeth, Patrick, Joseph, Katherine, Michael, James Robert, Madeline, and Harper along with brother Bruce (wife Judy) and many nieces and nephews.
Though Amy may have left this earthly realm, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she touched. Her laughter, kindness, and unwavering faith will continue to inspire us all.
