Amy Rogers Fore

Amy Rogers Fore, born on September 15, 1931 in Concord, NC, passed away on June 29, 2025 in Wilmington, NC at the age of 93.
Born and raised in Concord, Amy embodied the spirit and warmth of her hometown throughout her life. After marrying the love of her life, Bill Fore, they embarked on an adventure to California, where they spent 28 wonderful years before returning to their roots in Concord.
In 2005, Amy moved to Wilmington following the birth of her first grandchild, embracing her new role as "Meme" with open arms. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she dedicated her remaining years to being an incredible grandmother. Her presence was a constant source of love and joy, and her laughter and smiles brought happiness to all who knew her.
Amy was the true definition of selfless love. She had an innate ability to be there for her family and friends in times of need, offering comfort and support without hesitation. Her infectious laughter and warm smile made her a joy to be around, and her legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to know her.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Fore, her parents, Elmer and Margie Rogers, and her 5 siblings, Phyllis Jean Blackwelder, Gaynell Solomon, Betty Anne Litaker, Peggy Rogers and Jerry Rogers.
She leaves behind a loving family, including her son Mickey Rhymer, daughter Teresa Forrester, son-in-law Jim Forrester, and her adored grandchildren, James (Jay) Forrester, Amy Elizabeth (Ellie) Forrester, and William Tyler (Ty) Forrester.
A small Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 11:00am at Oakwood Cemetery, 461 Church Street, Concord, NC 28025, where family and friends will gather to celebrate Amy's remarkable life and the love she shared with all who knew her.
Amy's spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched, a testament to a life well-lived and a legacy of love that will endure.
