Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dee Funeral Home & Cremation Service - Concord on Mar. 4, 2026.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Amy Goranson, 48, on February 18, 2026. Amy's life and memory is honored by her parents, Richard and Jocelyn Goranson, her sisters, Jessika Lewand and Andrea Duke, her daughters, Giovanna Polizotti, Charlotte Fradera, and Emily Souza, as well as close companion, Peter Dugas, and several relatives and friends.
Amy was born on August 19th, 1977 in
Concord, MA. From an early age, Amy found her passion in art, literature, and history. An accomplished illustrator with a bold imagination, Amy also excelled in school as a high honors student participating in many Gifted & Talented education programs. Amy nurtured her creative and intellectual curiosity throughout her life. In addition to her intuitive artistic talent, Amy was a voracious reader. Her love of books crossed all genres, with a particular fondness for history. A conversation with Amy was sure to leave you with an appreciation for her studied but humble perspective on subjects from world affairs to the human condition; all communicated with (so her sisters say) an enviable vocabulary.
Amy's natural beauty attracted many, but her clever sense of humor and dry droll wit were perhaps her most charming qualities. We will especially remember Amy's big smile, a wink of mischief sparkling in her eye, her understated but keen sense of style, and a soul that wanted nothing more than to give and receive love.
Dearest Amy, may your spirit be free to rest in everlasting peace. Until we meet again, we love you.
*An excerpt from "I'm Free" by Anne Lindgren Davison
"My life's been full, I savored much
Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch. Perhaps my time seems all too brief
Don't lengthen your pain with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and peace to thee,
God wanted me now - he set me free."
Relatives and friends are invited to gather for visiting hours on Friday, March 13th from 4 to 6 pm at the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street,
Concord, MA. Private interment will be held in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Boston based non-profit Artists for Humanity.
