Amy Lynn Lohr, 50, of Swanton, went to be with her Lord on Friday, January 26, 2024, at her home with her loving sister by her side. Born on August 21, 1973, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late William Carlton Lohr, Sr. and Dorothy Elizabeth (Tasker) Lohr.
Amy will be forever remembered as a Ray of Sunshine who had a heart of gold. She loved God. In her position as a contact specialist with the Veterans Administration, Amy enjoyed being of assistance to those who served and also treasured the time she spent with her coworkers. Amy worked a second job and enjoyed working with those coworkers also. She continued to find happiness in getting together with special classmates from Southern High School once a month. Amy was a member of the Solid Rock Baptist Church, was an avid reader of the Bible, and encouraged others in their walk with Christ.
Amy is survived by her sister and best friend, Kathy Lohr; her brother, Bill Lohr; her aunt, Lucille Ludvigsen; adopted sister, Loriann Ludwig; her beloved church family at Solid Rock Baptist including Pastor Todd Michaels and wife Michelle, who were also special cousins; Debbie and Heidi and many others; and best friend of many years, Deb and husband Trevor and their three children who knew her as Aunt Amy. She also leaves behind her faithful companions, Cooper, Montana and Maverick.
Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from 6 to 8 PM and on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, from 11 AM to 1 PM. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Todd Michaels officiating.
