Amy Reimer Obituary

Amy Lynn Reimer
Born: March 7, 1970 in McHenry, IL
Died: November 26, 2023 in Lake Zurich, IL
Amy left us on November 26, 2023 and is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her illness was due to a rare, fast-growing, metastasized cancer of unknown origin. This type of cancer hits approximately 5 out of 100,000 people. After 11 weeks in hospital from date of diagnosis, Amy was transferred to Hospice, where she passed within a few hours of arrival.
Amy is survived by her mother, Diane Pearson, her brother Dennis, and sisters Jennifer, April and Misti, as well as her special Aunt Jodi and Uncle Art. Also surviving are her rescue dogs, Molly and Bonnie.
Amy was born to Richard and Diane (Pierce) Pearson on March 7, 1970 in Crystal Lake, IL. She graduated from Crystal Lake Community High School in 1988 and studied at McHenry County College and Condie College in San Jose, CA in Business. Amy was confirmed and became a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Crystal Lake, IL.
Amy was preceded in death by husband John, grandparents Jack and Lucille Pierce, and Aunt Marcia Pierce, who also passed at age 53.
Amy's true legacy is her career as North Shore Nanny. She raised and provided loving care to more than 27 children from infancy to school-age in her 30-year career. She also maintained loving and lasting relationships with parents and grandparents of children for whom she cared. Amy also had a solid background with leaders of Forest Bluff Montessori School, Lake Forest, IL..
Amy loved, beyond measure, her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.

I don´t know Amy or anyone in her family, but I saw this obituary and it was sad to read. I pray for her family that they will feel God´s comfort during this time.

Diane, I cannot ever know how difficult it is to lose a child. I pray God wraps His loving arms around you. You were such a comfort to us when we lost Mom.

Some of my favorite memories are of Amy and I hanging out at our favorite spots talking about life, family, and growing old and where we would be or how we would be when we got old. We wondered if we would remember all the places we had been together and we would smile and laugh as it didn´t matter all that matters is we knew we would remember what great friends are and what great times we had together in our lives. I thank Amy for so many laughs and hugs and warm wonderful moments we have shared.

My older sister had been baby sitting Amy and that´s how we met. Growing up together we had the best of times. From sleep overs, mtv, cars, lots of good memories. Amy will always be in my heart.

When Amy was born, I was so thrilled, I held her and it was a God-sent experience. When she was three days old, I nursed her in my Mother's boston rocker in my apartment living room. I looked down at her and felt a wash of love come over me that I'd never felt before or since. This deep love for my daughter has continued for 53 years and will continue going forward. God Bless my wonderful, Amy. Picture below is Amy and her "Kitty" having a Kitty Party with cake from her Easy Bake Oven.

When Amy was born, I was thrilled beyond belief. When she was 3 days old I was nursing her in my Mother's Boston rocker in living room. I looked down at Amy's sweet face, and I fell in love, deeply in love. That love has lasted 53 years, with the same love going forward.
