The family is deeply saddened by the loss of Ana Laura Ritchie, who passed away peacefully at her home on September 24, 2025. She was surrounded by her devoted husband and three children.

Born on January 30th, 1961, in Boynton Beach, FL. Ana Laura was the daughter of Jesus and Esperanza Cadena.

Ana Laura dedicated much of her professional life to serving others as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the special education department of the Houlton, ME, school system. Her work reflected her deep care for children and her commitment to helping them thrive. Her gentle spirit and patient nature left a lasting impact on those she worked with and supported.

Outside of her career, Ana Laura found joy in artistic expression. She was an avid watercolor painter and enjoyed doing acrylic pouring and working with stained glass. Ana Laura shared a rich life with her beloved husband, Mark. Together during their retirement, they embraced life as full-time RVers for several years, traveling the country and visiting many National Parks. Their journeys were filled with discovery and wonder, creating cherished memories along the way.

Ana Laura is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Mark Ritchie, and their children. She was a devoted mother to Anabel Gonzales (with Steve), Kimberly Douroux (with Joe), and Zachary Ritchie. Her love extended deeply to her grandchildren, Isabella Gonzales, Ezra Gonzales, and Juliana Douroux, who brought immense joy into her life and affectionately called her "Mimi." Ana Laura is also remembered by her siblings, Armando Cadena (with Cindy), Junior Cadena (with Francis), and Diana Cadena. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Esperanza Cadena, and a sister, Nora Cadena.

Honoring Ana Laura's wishes, there will be no funeral services. She wished to be cremated, with her ashes spread by her husband and children at her favorite national park.

Ana will be lovingly remembered for her big heart, sense of humor, and her talents as an artist. Above all, she treasured her family deeply and was the most devoted "Mimi" to her grandchildren. Those who knew Ana Laura will remember her radiant smile, her warmth, and her deep kindness. Ana Laura's words, her love, and her spirit will live on in all who knew her.
