With hearts deeply saddened, yet filled with gratitude for the years we were blessed to share with her, the family of Anahi Vázquez announces her passing on November 17, 2025. Though her time on earth was far too short, Anahi’s presence left a lasting light in the lives of all who knew and loved her.
Born on November 9, 2003, Anahi grew up in Greenville, Texas, where she attended Greenville ISD schools and graduated from Greenville High School in 2022. A bright and talented student, she later attended university in New York, embracing new experiences and continuing to pursue her passions.
For six years, Anahi distinguished herself as a gifted trumpet player, sharing her love of music with dedication and heart. Creative at her core, she was always drawing, painting, and expressing the beauty she saw in the world. Her artistic spirit was matched only by her compassion—especially for the animals she adored and cared for so tenderly. On her days off, she lovingly baked for her family, filling their home with warmth, sweetness, and laughter.
Anahi’s smile was a gift to those fortunate enough to receive it. She had a remarkable way of making others feel at ease, of bringing joy into ordinary moments, of turning simple days into cherished memories. Some of the most treasured moments with Anahi were spent drawing her grandparents’ portraits and sharing jokes and laughter with her siblings.
Her family celebrates the pride she felt when she earned her first awards and diplomas—milestones that reflected her talent and determination. To her parents, grandparents, brothers, aunts, uncles, extended family, and many friends, Anahi was an extraordinary daughter, sister, and friend. She was deeply loved, and she loved deeply in return.
Anahi is survived by: Her father, Ambrosio Vázquez, and mother, Graciela Cuevas, Her Brothers; Sevastian Vázquez and Julian Vázquez, Grandmother; Benita Martinez, Uncles; Gregorio Vázquez and family, Crescencio Vázquez and family, Jose de Jesus Cuevas and family, and Ramiro Cuevas and family, Aunts; Martha Vazquez and family, Maria Elena Cuevas and family, Maria Del Carmen Cuevas and family, Victoria Cuevas and family, Alma Delia Cuevas and family, and Lidia Cuevas and family.
Entre otros familiares y amigos que la recordarán con profundo cariño.
She is welcomed into heaven by Jose Severiano Cuevas, Porfirio Vázquez, and Anselma Vázquez, who preceded her in death.
Though our hearts ache with her absence, the love Anahi shared will continue to shine brightly—an enduring reminder of the beautiful soul she was. Anahi, te amamos para siempre.
