Anastacio LaBoy Lopez Jr.

Anastacio LaBoy Lopez Jr., 87, a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away Sunday April 14, 2024 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Albany. Born in Guayama, Puerto Rico the son of Anastacio LaBoy Sr. In 1955 he joined the US Army, upon discharge he settled in Brooklyn.
Anastacio was a veteran of the 7th Calvary/US Army and a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Upon separation; he was well known to be a hardworking refrigeration technician for Santoro Brothers in Brooklyn and retired due to disability. Growing up Anastacio was very athletic gaining many awards for track and field while also having a love for boxing and baseball. For 66 years, he shared a profound love for his wife and childhood sweetheart Minerva Ferreira LaBoy. The couple had met in Jr. High School and built a life filled with warmth, laughter and cherished memories.
Anastacio leaves a legacy of love to his beloved children; Robert LaBoy Sr. of Clifton Park and the late Jacqueline LaBoy Perez. He was the proud grandfather of Robert A. LaBoy Jr., Andrew LaBoy, Marcus Perez and Christian Perez and great grandfather of Jaqlene, Mavrick, Gavin, Aubrey, RJ III and Dorothy.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family with interment at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
