Ancil Chambers Jr., age 84, of Oneida TN, passed peacefully into the arms of his Lord on December 2, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. Born on November 16, 1941, he was the son of the late Ancil and Nell Simpson Chambers. He was a member of the Macedonia Christian Center.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Acres Chambers, 2 brothers Paul and Granville, 4 sisters Zona Faye Byrd, Sharon Ellis, Emma Gene Swint, and Beverly Letner.

Ancil is survived by brother Donald Earl Chambers and wife Diane, brother in law Russell Ellis, three sons: Jeff Acres of Knoxville, Kenneth Acres and wife Tressa of MS, and Kevin Chambers and wife Tammy of Oneida; three daughters: Teresa Cooper of Oneida, Rhonda Jeffers and husband Ricky of Helenwood, Karen Chambers of Newport; two honorary children: Rebecca Chitwood and Billy Hammock; and one special grandson Jacob Chambers. Seventeen grandchildren: Josh Jeffers, Tiffany Kimbrell (Josh), Amanda Massengale (Timothy), Isabella, Heaven and Maria Jeffers, Kenneth III, Elisha, Justin and Hannah Acres, Jacob Chambers, Cindel Anderson (Brandon Anderson), Travis Owens (Edrie), Alyssa and Raelyn Acres, Megan Boyatt, Jordan Chambers (Brittney); twelve great grandchildren: Nevaeh, Patience and Peyton Jeffers, Moriah and Austin Kimbrell, Braicen Anderson, Brynleigh Anderson, Kalani Owens, Brogan Russ, Remi Blake Russ, Mariana Chambers, Brantlee Chambers, and Whiten Owens; special niece: Anita Craig; as well as a host of other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Chambers family on Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home.

Graveside service will follow in the Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery with Bro. Adam Chambers officiating. Pallbearers will be: Jeff Acres, Kevin Chambers, Jacob Chambers, Bryan Chambers, Jeff Chambers, Anthony Chambers, and Billy Hammock. Honorary pallbearer will be: Anita Craig.
