Andre G. Dupont

Andre George Dupont, 61, of Berlin, passed away on March 31, 2024 at Jack Byrne Center for Palliative and Hospice Care in Lebanon after a brief illness.  He was born in Berlin, NH on March 1, 1963, the son of Rosaire and Theresé (Arsenault) Dupont.  A lifelong resident, he attended Berlin Schools and entered the United States Navy where he served for several years.  Throughout most of his working years he was employed as a truck driver, most recently for WalMart.  Andre was passionate about Harley Davidson motorcycles. He enjoyed time spent riding, taking trips, and rebuilding several bikes with his sons, and working in his garage. He loved his pets and was an avid collector. Over the years he made many friendships and was always willing to lend a hand.  His wealth of knowledge and quick wit attracted a long list of friends that was nearly as long as his beard!

He is survived by his wife Nancy (Doherty) Dupont of Berlin; four children: Matthew Dupont (Alyssa) of Berlin, Ian Dupont (Kerry) of Campobello, SC, Tareena Marquis (Kevin) of Gorham and Patrick Petrie of Rumford, ME; grandchildren Britteny, Kylie, Ava, Ella, Brenna and Abel; a great grandson Brody; a brother Armand Dupont (Shirley) of Berlin; sister Bernadette Guay (Ron) of Gorham and Florida; aunt Isabelle Arsenault and uncle Larry Arsenault of Ohio; nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by his parents. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 10 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant St., Berlin.  Interment will take place privately at the NH State Veterans Cemetery.  Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 6-8 PM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin.  Those who wish may make donations in his memory to the ASPCA or an animal rescue of their choice.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Bryant Funeral Homes, Berlin and Gorham, NH.  Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.bryantfuneralhome.net.
