Andrea Lowe Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wallingford Funeral Home - Wallingford on Feb. 2, 2026.
Andrea E. (Zaborowski) Lowe, 79, of Meriden, died on January 17, 2026, at MidState Medical Center.

Andrea was born in Meriden, August 31, 1946, a daughter of the late Alfred and Rita (Niemic) Zaborowski. She was a lifelong resident of Meriden and primarily employed in the manufacturing industry. Soon after retiring Andrea was well known in town as a barkeeper for many years.

Later in her years, Andrea battled with chronic health problems and eventually went on dialysis for a brief period just prior to her passing. Andrea's given name means, "Warrior" strong, brave and courageous. She will always be remembered by her children for her extraordinary strength, perseverance and determination for life. Her sufferings were a manifestation of just how resilient a woman she was. She endured so much and it was heartrending for her children to witness her constant afflictions.

Andrea will also be remembered for her kindness, humorous banter, her profound honesty, generous spirit, and her love for Jesus. She enjoyed attending Faith Living Church with her children. She was a firm believer in God, and her faith kept her going and comforted her as she passed into eternity. Andrea loved her new friends she met while attending church and her children will be forever grateful for the love and compassion they showed her. During the recent years Andrea found peace spending time at the park for hours with her children, conversing, meeting new people and observing nature from Bald Eagles to her favorite, the Kingfisher.

Her children will cherish their benevolent mother's spirit that triumphed even in her pain and suffering, right up to her passing away. A beloved mother known for her great strength, enormous generosity, brutal honesty and her sweet love. "Do zobaczenia w niebie" (See you in Heaven) mama. We love you!

Andrea is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Ronald Lewis of Meriden; her son, David Lowe of Meriden; her grand-dogs Ruby and Jenny (Pony Girl) who both loved going to visit Grandma and her grand-cats Midnight, Pumpkin, Stripes and Bleak.

There will be a memorial graveside service in the Spring to be announced at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home. www.wallingfordfh.com
