A Funeral Ceremony for Jiigewegaabawiikwe, Andrea "Angeleigh" Mitchell, age 50, of Minneapolis, MN, will begin with a visitation at 5 PM on Monday, November 17, 2025, at the Baadwewidang Community Center on the Mille Lacs Reservation. The Funeral Ceremony will begin at 10 AM on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the Baadwewidang Community Center on the Mille Lacs Reservation with Baabiitaw officiating. Interment will be in the Vineland Burial Grounds. Arrangements are with the LeMieur Funeral Home in Onamia.

Andrea Leigh Mitchell, known affectionately as "Angeleigh" to her family and friends, was born November 23, 1974. Angeleigh will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and her love of family and fun. She cherished spending time with her loved ones, often sharing laughter and good times. She had a special place in her heart for her two cats, Buster and Chigog. Angeleigh found joy in gaming, frequently playing bingo at Mystic Lake Casino and enjoying Keno with her family at Grand Casino Mille Lacs when she visited home. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Angeleigh is survived by her father, Andy (Jennifer) Mitchell of Mille Lacs; her sons, Joshua Mitchell of Hinckley and Dallas Donnell of Red Lake, MN; and her daughter, Ashley Mitchell of Minneapolis; she leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Aiyanna Mitchell and Del Anthony Foresta of Minneapolis; Angeleigh is also survived by her brothers, Paul Wayne Benjamin of Minneapolis, and Dustin, Lucas, and Matt Mitchell of Mille Lacs; and her sisters, Jennie and Allison Mitchell of Mille Lacs, along with Brenda and Alyssa Little Wolf of Isle. She will be deeply missed by her aunt, Doris Kegg of Hinckley, and numerous beloved cousins. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Pauline (Benjamin) Mitchell; sisters SherriLynn Mitchell and Paula Benjamin; her children, Cheyenne and Trent Mitchell; her nephew, Del Anthony Benjamin; She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Hannah Benjamin, and Sam and Jenny Mitchell, and her aunts and uncles, Fritz, Oliver, Delbert, Gordon and Perry Benjamin, Louella Peel, Susan Weyaus, Maggie Kegg, and Susan M. Mitchell.
