Andrea R. Zoladkiewicz passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025, surrounded by those closest to her. Andrea was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, a homemaker, and the most resilient person imaginable.
She enjoyed many things. Trips to Lancaster, PA was her top destination. The Hallmark Channel, especially during Christmas season, classic shows (Leave It To Beaver and M*A*S*H amongst her favorites) and classic movies (especially anything starring Robert Mitchum) were in continuous rotation on the television. If music was playing it would be a safe bet to say Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley or Dean Martin would be doing the vocals. A picture of the Rat Pack was always nearby her. She had possibly the best stuffed animal collection which started with a Winnie the Pooh gift in the early 1980s and grew to hundreds, and she made sure they were always set up properly in her room. She was an avid animal aficionado, with extra fondness for dogs, cardinals, and squirrels. If the bird feeder or peanuts were low outside, she quickly rectified it. The joy she had from seeing snow come down from the skies and snowmen being built, led to her creating a nontraditional name for grandmom, "Snowy." It would become a source of pride for the Zoladkiewicz family. Out of all these things, her most favorite things were spending time with her beloved husband of 55 years and her loving son, daughter, son-in-law and her pride and joy her granddaughter.
Daughter of the late Andrew and Mildred Bernard, sister of the late Andrew Bernard, Jr.
Survivors: Devoted wife of James F. Zoladkiewicz (her Sea Captain), adoring mother of Erika (Michael) Opet and Neil A. Zoladkiewicz. Cherished Grandmother/Snowy of Paige A. Opet
The last 16+ years fleeced Andrea of the ability to walk, which long distance walking was one of her favorite hobbies in early adulthood, but she now has free roam in heaven.
Funeral and interment will be private.
