Andrew Peter Biscay October 31, 1984 – July 2, 2025
Andrew Peter Biscay passed away July 2, 2025, at the age of 40. Andrew was born in Madera to Leon and Karen Biscay on October 31, 1984. The fourth child of Leon and Karen. Andrew infamously made his debut on Halloween and "crashed the party" of his older siblings and their Halloween Party.
As a child, Andrew grew up with his siblings in a vicarious environment. Andrew attended Howard Elementary school. He graduated in 1999 and was voted "Boy Athlete of the Year" by his peers and teachers; he built lifelong friendships while at Howard School that he cherished.
Andrew was of strong physical stature and excelled in sports at an early age. Andrew played youth Baseball in Madera American Little League (MALL), playing alongside his brothers and was a chain link to the "brother option" that lasted for a number of years for his team, Lee's Concrete. Andrew, alongside his brother Joey, were selected together to the MALL 1997 All-Star team.
Andrew was an avid outdoorsman and thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing which necessitated many deer and dove hunting trips with family and friends. Notably, he enjoyed Alaskan deep-sea fishing with his grandfather Harvey Kirk, whom he adored.
Andrew attended Madera High School and Chowchilla Union High School and was well known for his personable demeanor and outgoing personality. He had a wide range of friends and acquaintances. He participated in Future Farmers of America at both schools and developed a command of various trade skills, such as welding, during his time in high school. Andrew built a myriad of projects that were entered into local fairs-earning first place for equipment trailer design-- and received numerous awards for his gifted craftsmanship. He was proud to be a part of the Madera High class of 2003.
After high school, Andrew opted to work on the family ranch, proudly working alongside his late grandfather, Leon Biscay Sr., father, Leon Biscay Jr., brothers Nick, Tim and Joey, and many coworkers who turned friends. From much of his youth to adulthood, he utilized his physical talents that included various tasks while working on the family farm. Of all the siblings who worked on the farm, Andrew contained the personality and physical attributes to be the "farmer in the family." He enjoyed the work whether it was long hours driving tractor, mechanical work, fabrication, and enjoyed being a part of "running with the boys" during winegrape harvest in the late evenings and early mornings.
In 2007, Andrew was given the most precious gift in the world – title of father. His daughter Kasandra Biscay brought indelible joy and profound purpose to Andrew's life. His greatest accomplishment in life was to see the person that Kasandra has become, and would give anything to support her.
Andrew loved his family and would often call or inquire as to how they were doing, regardless of his circumstance, or theirs.
The Biscay Family would like to express their gratitude to friends and neighbors for their patience and understanding concerning Andrew. The care and concern expressed by so many, both friends and strangers, demonstrate the goodness that exists, which will always be appreciated.
Andrew is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Harvey Kirk; paternal grandparents, Leon Sr. and Edith Biscay; and his beloved older brother, Tim Biscay.
