Andy was one of my dads closest friends and even though not getting as close as I would like to Andy I could definitely tell you that he had loved spending time with friends and family, from watching hockey on the weekend to going to concerts, and even just stopping by for a quick hello was all it took to make Andy feel included, but Andy was a real great guy and a good man. R.I.P to the 6,7 big friendly giant, bodick, love ya.

I knew Andy and his parents from Milford Boat Works where I kept my boat for years. What nice people and I´m so sad. Andy´s charisma was as massive as his body and he will be missed. Vaya con dios Andy.

As kids, we all looked forward to seeing Andy at family gatherings in Milford. He was so fun and welcoming, and always made us laugh. He is gone far too soon.

Nancy and family, I'm so sorry for your loss. I only met Andy once at one of Allen's/Clay's birthday parties in Amherst. He was probably about 18 at the time. He was an impressive young man.I was struck by how upbeat and friendly he was - and tall! Peace.

I'd wondered about Andy a few times in recent years, and could've swore I saw him as I rode past the house I knew he lived in long ago, right next to Milford Boat Works. I'm so sad to hear this. We went to school together at some point and were in Boy Scouts together for years. I remember after we got our sail boat and motor boat merit badges, we got our licenses by taking the test down there. Andy and I quickly decided to take out the whaling boat (god, we had to be 15 or 16 at the most? I don't even know if we were that old) into the Sound. We only made it about halfway out to Charles Island when the weather turned, and the next thing we knew we had turned the wrong way in to the waves and got broadsided with one that seemed WAY bigger than we thought possible in little ol' Long Island sound. We hightailed it back to Milford Boat Works to make sure nobody knew we nearly capsized out there.
I haven't seen Andy in decades, but I can still see his smile and hear his laugh. Such a good dude.

Words can rarely ease the pain parents feel when losing a child, regardless of that child´s age. And I expect this is never more true then with the passing of Andy. This touching obituary captured the immensity of the love for him and his zest for life.
Andy was blessed to have a vast network of love and support led by his parents and their families, and his friends. His health struggles were a tremendous challenge to himself and his loved ones. And those challenges were met equally with strength, love, compassion and unending support.
While the pain of losing Andy will never be erased, I´m confident it will be eased over time as you embrace and recall all the wonderful memories you´ve compiled over his lifetime. Those memories are both innumerable and pristine, never to be dulled by time. And those memories will always be ready to replay in your hearts and minds. Just think about when you read, hear and watch something that triggers a precious memory of a loved one who has passed. That is why we never forget those loved ones we´ve lost. And that is why Andy will always be with you in spirit.
In addition you should find comfort in knowing that for not one second that Andy ever had to face this ordeal on his own. Your were always by his side, whether it be physically or spiritually.
Anyone who has enjoyed the pleasure of a friendship with Nancy and Larry knows what special people they are: Kind. Loving. Faithful. And every one of us will be there for them in this time of grief -- and in the future -- to help them in whatever way possible, whether it be to lend an ear or to offer a shoulder on which to lean.
Again, we are so sorry for your loss. Please accept the condolences and love of my family and myself.
