Joseph James Bodick IV

Joseph James Bodick IV, known affectionately as Joey went home to be with his Lord on September 28, 2023. Born on February 18, 1989, in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, Joseph lived a life that was truly inspiring, his life was filled with love, shared with his family whom he loved and truly made him a wonderful home. He was a resilient spirit, a beacon of courage, and an inspiration to everyone who knew him.
Joseph was a devoted fan of the Phillies and the Eagles, always ready to cheer on his teams. He had a passion for van rides and trains, and he could often be found engrossed in a game show or simply watching people go about their lives. "Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans," John Lennon once said, and Joseph embodied this sentiment by finding joy and excitement in the simplest of things. His ability to appreciate the world around him was nothing short of inspiring.
Joseph is survived by his mother, Carole, and step-father, Tim Lowe, his father, Joseph Bodick III, his brother, Bill Bodick, and step-brother, Nathan Lowe. His grandmothers, Barbara Steer and Kay Hunsberger, also survive him. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Joseph Bodick, Elwood Hunsberger, and Gordon Steer, as well as his grandmother, Sammie Bodick. He will also be sadly missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and care givers.
Joseph's legacy is one of unyielding courage and resilience, a testament to the human spirit's capacity to inspire and uplift. He was a beacon of light in the lives of many, and his memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those he left behind. As we remember Joseph, let us celebrate his life and the love he shared with us all.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet his family Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia, 13500 Philmont Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19116. His memorial service will follow Saturday, 11:00 am, at Calvary Chapel. In honor of Joey please wear you favorite Phillies or Eagles attire.
