Andrew B. Gierlach, 82, of Shenango Twp. passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at his residence following an illness.
Born March 6, 1943, in New Castle, he was the son of the late Dante A. Fusco and Bernice Gierlach.
Andrew enlisted in the Army in 1960, serving until 1963. For 25 years he worked for UPS as a truck driver. He was a member of the local Teamsters, loved trucks, and enjoyed gardening and feeding birds.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 49 years, Helen McDonald Gierlach; four sons, Henry "Hank" (Paula) Gierlach, Christopher (Lisa) Gierlach, Mark Gierlach, and Steve Ieropoli; two daughters, Christine Prestopine and Michelle (Vito) Cialella; eight grandchildren; Miranda (Branden) Barnes, Anthony (Alyssa) Prestopine, Rayanne Prestopine, Angela Prestopine, Spencer Gierlach, Alex Gierlach, Zachery Gierlach, and Ryan Ieropoli, and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother Joseph and sister Jane Wolanski.
Private funeral services will be held at the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum. Pastor Dominick Cestrone will officiate.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lawrence County Humane Society.
