Age 47, of Elmira, NY. He was born September 2, 1978 in Elmira, the son of Harry and Patricia (Horvath) Gilbert and passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025 unexpectedly. He was predeceased by his father Harry and is survived by his brother and sister-in-law James & Karin Gilbert; friend and caregiver David Drake; mother Patricia Burt all of Elmira, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. Family and friends are invited to his graveside service on Thursday, September 4th at 10 am in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery (Chester St. entrance). In lieu of flowers, those wishing may remember Andy through donations to the Chemung County SPCA, 2435 State Route 352, Elmira, NY 14903

I remember your younger days when you came to visit with your mother and I gave you my bottles and cans because you liked taking them to the redemption center so you would have some extra spending money. Those days are over but God's word says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Now you are safe and sound in the arms of Jesus. God love you for ever and for ever. Your Uncle Jeff never stopped loving you.
