In Loving Memory of Andrew Lee Herrera

September 22, 1994 – August 4, 2025

Andrew Lee Herrera's light shone brightly in every space he entered, and though his time with us was far too short, the warmth of his spirit will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew him.

Born in Austin, Texas, Andrew grew into a man whose smile could light up a room and whose music could reach where words could not. His mother will forever treasure the sound of his laughter-a joyful, unfiltered reflection of his pure spirit. His unwavering respect, love, and loyalty were constant gifts to her throughout his life.

Guided by his faith in God, Andrew lived with kindness, compassion, and integrity. He built deep, meaningful friendships and loved his family fiercely. He was a devoted son, a loyal friend, and above all, a loving father whose greatest joy was his son, Awdrex.

Music was Andrew's soul speaking. A self-taught guitarist, gifted composer, and passionate performer, he shared his heart as the lead guitarist for Knights of Darkness, cherishing his bandmates like family. His passion began at 15 and only grew with time. Beyond music, he was a proud apprentice electrician and took joy in his work. His last role at Guitar Center brought him a sense of home and fulfillment that made him truly happy.

Andrew's love, his laughter, and his music will echo forever. His memory will be cherished by his son, Awdrex Herrera; his mother and stepfather, Lisa Dinkins and Frank; his father and stepmother, Gregorio V. Herrera III and Janet Herrera; his grandparents, Gregorio C. Herrera Jr. and Juanita Herrera, and Frances Garcia; his siblings, Ramon DeLeon, Amethyst DeLeon, Ezmeralda Cullum, Jacob Pina, Jazmyn Pina, Jazet Herrera, and Jaylynn Herrera; and countless friends and extended family.

Though his journey here has ended, the melody of his life will play on-strong, beautiful, and eternal.
