Andrew McLaughlin, age 66, of
North Attleboro, Massachusetts, passed away on January 23, 2026, after a heroic 20-year battle with cancer. Throughout his long journey, Andrew fought with unmatched resilience alongside his dedicated medical team at Duke University. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to his oncologist, Dr. Armstrong, who always had a clinical trial up his sleeve and never gave up the fight.
Born on March 13, 1959, Andrew was a proud Massachusetts native and the heart and soul of Casey's Corner in North Attleboro. As the owner of the neighborhood bar, he was a pillar of the community-a man who never met a stranger and made every person who walked through the door feel like they belonged.
Andrew lived for celebrations. He loved holidays, birthdays, and any excuse to bring people together. He was at his happiest in the kitchen, cooking for his family and making sure everyone was well-fed and laughing. Whether he was cheering from his seats as a New England Patriots season ticket holder for over 30 years, riding his motorcycle, or soaking up the sun at the beach, he cherished every moment.
His kindness was his trademark. He was the man who would pull over to help a stranger on the road or give his last dollar to someone at the corner store. An avid animal lover, he is reunited with his German Shepherds, Max and Lady, and Juice, and leaves behind his newest rescue, Maverick.
Above all else, Andrew loved his family "more than anything." He is survived by his devoted wife, Karen McLaughlin; his daughter, Melissa, and her husband, Michael; his sons, Andrew and Matthew; his adopted son, Jamor, and Jamor's wife, Laura; and his step-children. He was the world's proudest grandfather to Nicholas, Nathan, Liam, JJ, Nevaeh, and Chosen, who will carry his legacy of generosity, kindness, and strength forward.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In the words Andrew lived by and left us with: "See you down the road."
