Andrew "Andy" Joseph Molkenthine, age 76, of Plymouth, WI, passed away peacefully at Rocky Knoll on July 7, 2025.
He was born on August 26, 1948 in Milwaukee, WI, a son of the late Walter and Josephine (Lenz) Molkenthine and later his family moved to Random Lake and Plymouth.
He attended Parnell Grade School and Plymouth High School. Andy enlisted in the United States Marines Corp on August 10, 1967, where he earned his GED and served in Vietnam until August 29, 1969. Andy was very patriotic; he loved his Country and was proud of his service. In April of 2018, he got to do the Honor Flight with his daughter, Karey and his brother-in-law, Wayne, who was also a veteran.
On July 19, 1969, he married Carol Theune at St. Michael's Catholic Church in the Town of Mitchell.
He worked at Borden's and retired from Sargento as a semi-truck driver after 28 years. Andy also ran the family farm from 1971-1976.
Andy loved deer hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, watching the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers play, and watching old western movies and game shows. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church where he served as an usher and a lifelong member of the Plymouth VFW Post 5612.
Survivors include his wife, Carol; three children, David (Michelle) Molkenthine, Karey (Tony) Scott, and Daniel (Angie) Molkenthine; grandchildren, Cody (Jenn) Molkenthine, Hailey (James) Cash, Steven (Chelsey) Scott, Eddie Molkenthine, and Callie Molkenthine; great-grandchildren, Violet and Eleanor Molkenthine; brothers-in-law, Lyle (Kay) Theune and Wayne Casteel; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rosie (Gilbert) Manderle; brothers, Walter (Shirley), Michael, Harry, and Leo Molkenthine; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lucille Karstead, Howard Theune, Gerald Theune, Norma Vetsch, Jean Hoftiezer, Donald Theune, and Eileen Casteel.
Visitation will be held on Sunday (July 13, 2025) at the Suchon Funeral Home from 1:00PM – 3:00PM; with a Funeral Service to follow at 3:00PM. Father Subi Thomas will officiate. Military Rites will be conducted by the Plymouth VFW Post 5612 following the Service. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Plymouth.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Andy's name.

Don't know if God needed a farmer or a soldier or maybe he just needed another good man. He got one from the best when he got Andy. He was one of the nicest people I ever met. Although he didn't know it, he was setting a good example of what good men are really like. I thought about him often when he was alive, and I'll continue to think about him till I see him again.
