Andrew Thomas Romero

1966 – 2025
Andrew "Blue" Romero, age 58, a resident of Belen, NM, passed away on March
27, 2025. Andrew was best known for his willingness to share his struggles in the
hopes he could help anyone else with theirs. Many people in dark places in their
lives have been positively impacted because of this. He did not judge anyone
and fiercely protected the ones he loved. He died riding his motorcycle which he
dearly loved to do. He'd often drive with his 'brothers and sisters' from the local
Moose Riders and The American Legion Riders. Andrew was known for his
happy outlook on life and he would go out of his way to greet and talk to
everyone. He especially liked to talk about his daughter Amber and his
grandchildren. Andrew and his best friend Danny Bernal could often be found
together at the river riding side-by-sides or grilling up delicious food. Danny was
a mainstay and calming presence when Andrew needed it most. Andrew loved
his sisters and was insistent on helping them on many projects. He worked
alongside his sister Catherine to restore a classic Datsun 280z. With his sister
Monica and her family, he loved to fish and watch his nephews play sports.
Andrew worked many jobs in his life but is best remembered for his skills in
repairing radiators of all kinds and sizes. Andrew is preceded in death by his
parents Louie and Angela Romero and his brother Gabriel Romero. He is
survived by his daughters Amber Limón and Angela Montiel; his grandchildren
Kimberlly Marleen Martinez, Alexandra Marleen Martinez, Ramon Martinez 3rd,
Leonardo Mathias Martinez; siblings Michael Romero, Anthony (Annette)
Romero, Catherine Romero, and Monica (Jimmy) Aragon; his Uncle Orlando
Sanchez, Aunt Mary Chavez, and Aunt Eileen Scott; and many cousins.
Services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Friday, May 9,
2025, beginning with a Visitation at 9:00 a.m., a Rosary at 10:00 a.m., and a
