Andrew Sama Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jun. 23, 2024.
Andrew Sama, 63, of Toms River, passed away at Complete Care at Holiday City on Saturday, June 22, 2024. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he grew up and lived in Staten Island before moving to the Toms River area in 2011.
He took great pride in his job as a porter at Doctors Hospital, where his mom also worked. He was kind and compassionate to both patients and co-workers.
Andrew was a die-hard Mets fan as well as a Jets and Rangers fan and enjoyed watching and passionately discussing the games. He also loved to cook, and enjoyed his meticulously maintained beautiful fish tanks. He had a great love of rock & roll music, especially Led Zeppelin and Rush.
He always told his sisters he loved them and to kiss the kids and tell them he's proud of them at the end of every phone call. He always remembered everyone's birthday.
Andrew is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Eugenia Sama as well as his brother-in-law Timothy Synan. He is survived by his sisters, Susan Beaver, Laura Graf, and Donna Lombardi as well as his brothers-in-law, William Beaver Jr and Joseph Lombardi and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Gathering will take place on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River, NJ 08755.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Andrew's memory may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, https://t2t.org/donate/
