Andrew "Drew" Thompson

Andrew "Drew" Fupeng Thompson was born in Luoyong City, Henan Province of China on October 31, 2006 and came home to Florida in early 2009. He attended schools in Leon County and lived in Tallahassee his entire life.
Drew is survived by his parents, Donnie Thompson (Jen) and Heather Wilson (Shawn); brother Chase Thompson and sister Julia Thompson; step-brothers Casey Harrell (Haylie and two daughters), Colby Harrell and step-sister Madeleine Wilson; fraternal grandparents Wendell and Martha Thompson; maternal grandparents Carl and Lolly Wier; uncles and aunts Jeff Thompson (Shannon), Philip Pomeroy, Jr., Mary Stafford (Parke), Jackson Pomeroy (Erin), Alinda Baker (John), Brian Wier (Debbie), Brett Wier, Joel Wier (Lis Boyette), Tom Goshorn (Anne) and Brian Wilson (Amy). Drew also leaves behind a multitude of loving cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather John Philip Pomeroy, Sr. and his aunt Anna Pomeroy.
He loved everything American and was our precious Asian Redneck. Drew loved everything outdoors, hunting, fishing, camo and mud holes as well as his dog Dixie. Especially days at St. Teresa Beach, Dog Island and St. Marks. Because of this, we are creating a memorial reef in the ocean waters he loved, in Franklin County. We will be able to visit the Drew Thompson Memorial Reef forever.
The family will be receiving guests for a visitation at Bevis Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from the hours of 2:00 – 4:00pm with a memorial service to immediately follow at 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Drew Thompson Memorial Reef are deeply encouraged. Donations can be made through either branch of Prime Meridian Bank in Tallahassee.
