Andrew William Walden, "Andy", passed away on January 10, 2024, after a short battle with lung cancer.
He was born in Kansas City, Mo on June 29th 1956 to Edwin and Barbara Walden. He graduated from Windsor High School in 1974. He married Pamela Creach on July 12, 1974.
He spent many years managing multiple grocery stores and retired from the Richmond school district in 2019.
He is survived by his wife Pam Walden and 2 children, Andrea Walden and Aaron Walden. He is also survived by 2 granddaughters Maya Rose Dellerba and Annamae Rose Walden, and Maya's father, Stephen Dellerba and Annamae's mother, Heather Walden, sisters Carol Walden-Homan (Steve), and Susan Thurston (Jonathan), and brother Bob Walden, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Carey Walden, and niece Kristen Veach.
The family will gather at a later date for a celebration of life. Andy did not wish to have a formal service and preferred to be remembered as you knew him in life.
The family chose to donate Andy's corneas so that someone else may see the world.
Any and all condolences should be directed to the link below, for his loving wife of 49 years, Pam, and family.
