Andrzej Janowski

Andrzej Janowski, 66, of New Britain died peacefully on May 23, 2017 with his family by his side. He was born in Ostroleka, Poland and immigrated to the U.S. in 1978. He first worked at Atlantic Tool and then took a position at Caval Industries where he worked as a tool maker for many years. Andrzej enjoyed many trips to Florida with his wife, spending time working on various projects with his family and friends and he especially loved being with his grandchildren. He took much pleasure in fishing and the ocean. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and uncle, he leaves behind his wife of 37 years, Zofia (Kosakowski) Janowski; his sons, Andrew Janowski and his fiancée Anna Metallidou, Robert Janowski and his partner Basia Wnuk and Tommy Janowski; his adored grandchildren: Kevin, Savannah, Jayden; and his nephew, Adam Janowski as well nieces and nephews in Poland and the U.S. Andrzej was predeceased by his parents Jozef and Zofia (Baranowski) Janowski and his brother, Zbigniew Janowski. A father figure to all who knew him, his presence will be forever missed. Thanks to all friends who visited Andrzej during his illness. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, May 27 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church, New Britain. He will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
