He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Carolyn Ann Hill Parnell, his mother, Ruby Barns, 3 sons: Matthew Parnell of Colorado, James Parnell of Jeffersonville, Indiana, and Chris Hill of Jeffersonville, Indiana, one daughter, Shayne Rhodes of Charlestown, Indiana, 5 grandchildren: Jordan Hill, Josh Hill, Cheyenne Parnell, Athena Parnell, and Elinore Rhondes, 3 sisters: Wanda Rawley of Corydon, Indiana, Reba Grounds (Jim) of Mooresville, Indiana, and Delane Hunter of Mooresville, Indiana as well as Several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Per the family's request, cremation was chosen, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
