David Adams Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Homes Corydon on Feb. 4, 2026.
David Wayne Adams, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026. He was born August 13, 1959, the son of Harlan Adams and Catherine Lynch Adams.

David was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He worked at U of L School in the controller office as a CPA, where he retired after a lifetime of service. David could often be found playing music, taking trips, and building or creating things. He could truly do anything he set his mind to. Above all things he was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather to his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Mark Adams, and one special dog, Missy.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Terri Ann Lopp Adams, children Megan Adams Giles (Tanner), stepson, Matthew Schickel (Janna), grandson: Gregory David Giles, granddaughters: Olivia, Isabella, and Clara Schickel as well as nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Funeral Mass will be conducted privately with family only. Friends are encouraged to leave memories on David's page through the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial gifts to be made to Parkinson's research (Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research- Grand Central Station P.O. Box 4777, New York, NY 10163 US).

David was a very kind person, loved sharing our adventures when our families were fans of Disney. It was a privilege to have known him.
Our prayers are with his family.
