Angel Luis "Papo" Baerga

On the morning of August 25, 2024, Angel Luis Baerga of New Britain CT, passed away with loved ones at his side at the Hospital of Central Connecticut. Born on Thursday August 18, 1960 in Manhattan, New York to the late Angel Luis Malavé and Marilyn Antonia Colorado. In addition his stepfather Pascual Vélez. Angel is the oldest of 7 children; Sergio, Johnny, Carlos, Sophia, Carmen and the late Jeanie. Papo is survived by his former wife Lucy Baerga having had 4 daughters Bethsida-Mark Trail, Maritza-Ellwood Echevarria, Jasmin-Jose Marrero and Marilyn-Micheal Richards. His step children Andrew, Melissa and Pricilla Figueroa with his long time companion Brenda Cruz. Leaving his fiancé Nellie Pabòn. In addition Angel has 23 grandchildren, 1 pre-deceased great grandchild and 3 great grandchildren. With many nieces and nephews. All in which he held so much love in his heart for!
Papo had 3 dogs; Khloe, Casper and Coco in which were like children to him. You would always find him around the apartment buildings he managed fixing things with all 3 dogs right by his side. If he wasn't fixing the homes, you'd find him under the hood of a car. He had such a fascination with older vehicles. Angel worked with so much passion and was was very much work driven. He was an employee at Wampanoag Country Club of West Hartford CT for over 20 years.
The family will like to thank the ICU staff at the Hospital of Central Connecticut for all they'd done for Angel, as they were very understanding and caring.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024 at 10 am at Erickson Hansen Funeral Home 411 South Main Street New Britain, CT 06051. He will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in New Britain, CT
