Angela Brita Obituary
Angela M. Brita, 70, of Bethlehem, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 in the care of Country Meadows. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Genero "Jerry" and Incoranata (Guerrieri) Brita.
Angela was a graduate of Freedom High School and Kutztown University where she earned her master's degree in Reading and Literacy. She worked as a reading specialist in the Bethlehem Area School District until she retired in 2012. She loved teaching students to become better readers.
Angela was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church where she was a participant in the bell choir and the fellowship club. She was also a member of the Bethlehem Area School Retirees, Northampton County School Retirees, and UNICO group.
Angela is lovingly survived by her sisters, Loraine Kovary (Frank), and Gina Kilgour (Aleck); brother, Dr. Joseph M. Brita (Frank); nieces, Haley and Katie Kilgour.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 3219 Santee Rd, Bethlehem, PA 18020 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.

Angela and I graduated from Freedom High School in 1972. Since we were both interesting in teaching careers, we decided to attend Kutztown University where we became roomates.
We both becane teachers and retired after 35 years in 2012..
It was so difficult to watch her rapidly decline. I pray she is at peace!
I will miss you Angela!

My sympathies to Angela´s family. I met her thru the gal pals at OLPH. She was very sweet. I saw her at Sterling Heights & again at Country Meadows. It broke my heart to see the deterioration of her condition. She no longer has pain and once again is whole now that she is with the angels. May she RIP!
