Angela Dorothea Davis, age 54, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas, NC. She was born on November 6, 1968, to Patricia Elaine Posey Davis and the late Monroe Pressley Davis “Pete”. Angela worked at Timken Manufacturing and attended Westview Baptist Church in Gastonia. She was an enthusiast and advocate for fitness, working out, and health and wellness. Angela was a member at Hollywood Fit and The Rock Fitness, where she began her modeling career journey for Fitness Magazines and competing in fitness competitions. Through the competitions she would place high in her age class. She also loved photography and being outdoors, whether it was going to the beach or to the mountains. Cherished being around family and enjoyed her time with her grandchildren.
Along with her mother, those left to cherish her memories include her children Kristie Leigh Carrigan, Brian Scott Carrigan (Emily), and Adam Pressley Butler; sister Teresa Waters (Mike); brothers Jeffery Davis (Sandy) and Sterling Davis (Sandra); and grandchildren Kenny “Seven” Dunlap, Cali Angel Dunlap, Keeley Carrigan, and Lauren Carrigan.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Sisk Butler Funeral Home, Bessemer City NC. The funeral service to celebrate Angela’s life will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023, at 12:00 noon at Westview Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Rudisill and Brother Daryl Sterling Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Westview Gardens with Pastor Chris Howell to officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Robin Johnson Hospice House: 5005 Shepherds Way Dr; Dallas, NC 28034.
