Angela L. Karavasilis

MIDDLETON - Angela L. Karavasilis, 55, of Middleton, beloved wife of George Panagakis, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 24th, 2025 at her home.

Born in Dover, New Hampshire, she was the daughter of Steve and Morfoula (Varagianis) Karavasilis. She was raised and educated in Dover, NH and was a graduate of Dover High School. Angela continued her education and received her undergraduate degree from the University of New Hampshire and her Medical Degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Karavasilis specialized in Family Medicine with a special interest in women's health for over 30 years. In her practice, she touched countless lives, offering not only expert medical care but also kindness and understanding that eased the burdens of her patients. Her passion for healing extended beyond the clinic, influencing her community in ways that will remain. With an entrepreneurial spirit Angela opened and ran her own practice in Rhode Island for several years. Subsequently she left her practice and travelled to New Hampshire where she joined the staff at St. Joseph's Hospital in Nashua, later she joined the Lahey group in Beverly and most recently was a primary care physician with Sturdy Memorial Hospital. Dr. Karavasilis was well respected by colleagues and patients throughout her career.

A beloved wife, daughter, stepmother and friend, Angela was truly happiest when with her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her husband and their pet birds; their cockatiel, sun conure, and two parakeets. They enjoyed cooking, spending time outdoors, walking on the beach and traveling to warm destination like the Caribbean and Greece. Angela was truly a people person, and she could talk to anyone. She never felt she met a stranger, only a new friend. Angela will be forever remembered for her selfless care of others, her love for family and will be deeply missed by all who know and love her.

Surviving Angela, in addition to her parents, Steve and Morfoula and husband, George, is her stepson, Peter Panagakis and his wife, Maryalice of Raleigh, NC and her many friends and colleagues.
